Hours before the battle, thousands of neanderthals from their home territory set up camp outside. These neanderthals ride in on their machines and set up tents. Together they all yell barbaric chants to cheer on their warriors before the battle. Many drink potions and prepare a feast while waiting. They grill plenty of meat and pass it around graciously. The potions make them act quite differently depending on how much they had drank. When the bell rings for battle, the neanderthals all march into the stadium, aside from those who had too much potion to handle. Their roar can be heard for miles as they all come together in the crowd to watch what they’ve been waiting all week for.
Two different groups of savages trained and perfected their battle skills for a week in preparation for this horrific and gruesome event. They work hard during the days prior putting themselves through hell on earth in order conquer the opposition. This battle takes place on a field that has been created by the gods themselves for this reason alone. The two bands of warriors have to make it ten arrow lengths in four tries in order to keep their attack alive. If they fail the other group has a chance to take advantage. If the attack is successful the group wins six beads and has a chance to earn one more after the initial victory. This back and forth battle last for a couple of hours. At the end the group with the most beads wins.
The warriors are of an elite class they stand mighty and strong compared to the regular villagers. They are looked upon as mighty men who deserve respect and power. They are all mighty with only two exceptions. The chiefs and Gods are the only ones who can advise the warriors and control them. The chiefs are looked upon as mighty men as long as their group of warriors is successful in battle. If the warrior however are unsuccessful for long periods of time people lose respect for the chief and seem to ignore and even attempt to remove him from the tribe.
The mightiest of all beings however is the God’s. They have control over the whole battle. They can stop it at anytime and declare attacks null and void. Sometimes the Gods are respected and looked at as all knowing and accurate. However the gods can sometimes be corrupt and make crazy calls and destroy the chances of one tribe winning the battle. Sometimes the chiefs warriors and gods get into arguments this often leads to the chief or player being struck by the elements and removed from the battle. The gods are important to the battle and sometimes they are liked by all and hated by all. However, at the end of the day, all shake hands and no feelings are hurt. The neanderthals show emotion for a short amount of time because preperation for next week must begin. The warriors and chiefs go back to training for next week's battle as well.
